Product Review : Blithe Tundra Chaga Pressed Serum

What’s it for: Fine Lines and Wrinkles, Firming, Dull and Unever texture, and Dry Skin.

Who would benefit most: I’m of the mindset that anyone can use this product – dry, oily, combination. It is not heavy and totes quick absorption.

About the ingredients: The serum is comprised of 60% Chaga Mushroom – which is a fungus that typically grows on birch trees in Siberia and other colder regions. From a medicinal standpoint, this fungus is known its powerful antioxidants – included but not limited to supporting the immune system and promoting healthy digestion. It is suspected that humans have used Chaga for centuries, if not thousands of years – (Insert OOO’s and AAHHH’s here). This product also includes a smattering of oils that improve skin moisture.

One of my first k beauty products, this serum was a Hail Mary purchase. I had no real knowledge about what I did or why I needed it. But I liked the clean packaging and it had a lot of reviews. (Just keeping it 100%). What I can say is that it has become one of my favorites. The scent is light, smelling vaguely of florals. It is a solid but once you mush it around on your fingers, it turns more liquid. NOTE: Like many products, you don’t need much! A little goes a very long way. I gently press the serum into my skin and shortly thereafter, it fully absorbs.

I’ve used this product for about 2 months now and there has been a definite increase in the firmness of my face. My face feels moisturized every time I use this product. To me, this is a great prep for the moisturizer. I love that it melts on my fingers, making application easy and quick. It doesn’t leave me grease or oily. No filmy residue here. There is also a slight tingle after it goes on that I like. That probably isn’t a good sign, but in my mind, I feel like it means the product is working. The only negative, is that I cannot put this serum on my eye lids and under eyes. For some reason, my eyes become irritated – it’s probably too strong for such sensitive skin. Aside from that, this pressed serum has a permanent spot in my arsenal of facial goodies.
